Employment with Ivey’s is voluntarily entered into, and the TM is free to resign at will at any time, with or without cause. Similarly, Ivey’s may terminate the employment relationship at will at any time, with or without notice or cause, so long as there is no violation of applicable federal or state law.
Employment with Ivey’s Building Materials Center is considered a confidential agreement between the company and the TM. Details of that agreement are to be kept confidential.
Many details are weighed when this agreement is finalized. The agreement made with one person may be different than the agreement made with another. This is considered a privilege of the employer.
This agreement is to be confidential, any discussion among employees about salary is prohibited. Violation of this policy will lead to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
Policies set forth in this handbook are not intended to create a contract, nor are they to be construed to constitute contractual obligations of any kind between Ivey’s and any of its employees. The provisions of the handbook have been developed at the discretion of management and, except for its policy of employment-at-will, may be amended or cancelled at any time at Ivey’s sole discretion.
These provisions supersede all existing policies and practices and may not be amended or added to without the express written approval of the Chief Executive (President) of Ivey’s.
