Employee Benefits

Eligible TM’s at Ivey’s are provided a wide range of benefits. A number of the programs (such as Social Security, workers’ compensation, state disability, and unemployment insurance) cover all Team Members in the manner prescribed by law.

Benefits eligibility is dependent upon a variety of factors, including TM classification. Your Supervisor can identify the programs for which you are eligible. Details of many of these programs can be found elsewhere in the Handbook.

The following benefit programs are available to eligible Full Time Team Members (consistently recording 32 hours or more per week).

What is considered Vacation vs Sick Leave?

Vacation is scheduled 2 weeks in advance with a schedule maker.

Unused PTO (Vacation/Sick/Personal) is not redeemable at end of year and doesn’t roll over.  Please check with Manager regarding any questions.

  • Please note: If schedule changes are made that drop hourly totals below 32 hours, benefits are forfeited.

Note – If first time PTO accrual occurs within fourth quarter of calendar year, Team Member will receive 180 days grace period from date of receiving to enjoy benefit so as not to lose it at the end of the year.

Vacation time and other PTO Benefits are paid at the TM’s base pay rate at the time taken. It does not include overtime or any special forms of compensation such as incentives, commissions, bonuses, or shift differentials. As stated above, TM’s are encouraged to use available paid vacation time for rest, relaxation, and personal pursuits. In the event that available vacation is not used by the end of the benefit year, it will expire. Unpaid Vacation Benefit time will NOT be paid out at the end of the year.  In that way, Vacation Benefits are a “Use-It-Or-Lose-It” Program.

Upon termination of employment or resignation in good standing, TM’s will be paid for unused vacation time that has been earned through the last day of work. To remain “In Good Standing,” an employee must provide a Notice of Intention to Resign, at least 2 weeks in advance of leaving the employment arrangement. This does not apply to the Sick Leave Benefit, Jury Duty, Bereavement, or Birthday Benefit as it will not be paid upon termination or resignation.
